By using LearnHaven, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LearnHaven, Inc. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use our service.

1. Account Terms

  • 1.1You must be 18 years or older to create an account
  • 1.2You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • 1.3One account per family unit
  • 1.4Accurate information must be provided
  • 1.5You must comply with all applicable homeschool laws

2. Acceptable Use

  • 2.1Use LearnHaven only for lawful homeschool management
  • 2.2Do not upload illegal or inappropriate content
  • 2.3Respect intellectual property rights
  • 2.4Do not attempt to access other users' data
  • 2.5Do not use automated systems to access the service

3. Payment Terms

  • 3.1Free access during early access period
  • 3.2Automatic renewal unless cancelled
  • 3.3Prices subject to change with 30 days notice
  • 3.4No refunds for partial months
  • 3.5Cancel anytime before next billing cycle

4. Data & Privacy

  • 4.1You own all content you upload
  • 4.2We don't sell your data to third parties
  • 4.3You can export your data anytime
  • 4.4We maintain backups for disaster recovery
  • 4.5Deleted data removed within 90 days

5. AI-Powered Features

  • 5.1AI lesson plans are generated using third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) and are provided as a starting point, not a finished curriculum
  • 5.2You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use with your students
  • 5.3AI-generated lesson plans may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that does not align with your educational standards or values
  • 5.4LearnHaven does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular educational purpose
  • 5.5Curriculum documents you upload for AI processing are sent to our AI provider solely for the purpose of generating your lesson plan and are not stored by the AI provider after processing
  • 5.6AI features require an active subscription and are subject to usage limits and availability

6. Limitations of Liability

  • 6.1Service provided 'as is' without warranties
  • 6.2Not responsible for user-generated content
  • 6.3Not liable for compliance with state laws
  • 6.4Maximum liability limited to fees paid
  • 6.5No liability for data loss beyond our control
  • 6.6No liability for decisions made based on AI-generated content, including lesson plans, schedules, or educational recommendations

7. Termination

  • 7.1Either party may terminate at any time
  • 7.2We may suspend accounts for violations
  • 7.3You can download data before termination
  • 7.4Termination doesn't relieve payment obligations
  • 7.5Some provisions survive termination

Additional Terms

Intellectual Property

LearnHaven and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by LearnHaven, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to the content you upload to LearnHaven. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, store, and backup your content as necessary to provide the service.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.

The arbitration will be conducted in Pennsylvania, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

AI Content Disclaimer

LearnHaven's AI Lesson Plan Generator uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic Claude) to extract and organize content from curriculum documents you provide. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • •AI-generated lesson plans are suggestions and drafts, not finalized educational plans. You must review and approve all content before using it.
  • •The AI may misinterpret, omit, or incorrectly represent content from your uploaded documents. Always verify against the original source material.
  • •You are solely responsible for ensuring that lesson plans used with your students are accurate, age-appropriate, and aligned with your educational goals and state requirements.
  • •LearnHaven is not liable for any educational outcomes, compliance issues, or other consequences resulting from the use of AI-generated content.
  • •You must have the right to upload any documents you provide for AI processing. Do not upload copyrighted materials without proper authorization.
Educational Purpose Disclaimer

LearnHaven is an organizational and record-keeping tool for homeschool families and does not constitute legal advice. The compliance information, checklists, and requirement tracking provided are for general guidance only and may not reflect the most current laws in your state. Users are solely responsible for verifying and complying with their state's homeschool laws and regulations. Documents generated by LearnHaven (including transcripts, diplomas, reports, and AI-generated lesson plans) are unofficial homeschool records and are not issued by an accredited institution. We recommend consulting with local homeschool organizations or legal counsel for specific questions regarding your state's requirements.
